TL;DR

Use TruePeopleSearch’s removal page, enter your email, authorize the request, complete the CAPTCHA, and start the removal process. Find your matching listing, open View Details, select Remove This Record, then click the verification link sent to your email. Allow roughly three days before checking again.

Before you start opt-outs, see which known data breaches already include your email.

Free · About 30 seconds · No sign-up · Email not stored

TruePeopleSearch is a free people-search site that makes personal information searchable by name and location and can also expose phone and address-related records. Like other people-search sites, it can create a profile without you ever signing up.

The removal process is free, but it is a multi-stage flow: you first authorize the request by email, then locate the actual record and explicitly remove it.

What a TruePeopleSearch profile can show

Depending on the record, a TruePeopleSearch result may include:

  • Full name and name variations
  • Current and previous addresses
  • Phone numbers
  • Possible relatives and associated people
  • Age-related information
  • Other publicly available identifying details

Where TruePeopleSearch gets this information

TruePeopleSearch aggregates information from public and commercially available sources. Its profiles can combine records that originated in different databases, which is why old addresses and former phone numbers may remain connected to a current identity.

Removal is one half of the job. Check whether your email has leaked as well.

How to remove yourself from TruePeopleSearch

1Open the removal page

Go to truepeoplesearch.com/removal, or reach the same tool through the site’s Do Not Sell My Personal Information link.

2Start the request with your email

Choose the option indicating that you are the subject of the request. Enter your name and an email address you can access, accept the authorization terms, complete the security check or CAPTCHA, and submit the request.

3Open the verification email

TruePeopleSearch sends a verification message containing a link to continue the removal process. Open it promptly; the verification link is time-limited.

4Search for your record

Use your first and last name plus your city and state to search the TruePeopleSearch database. If you have lived elsewhere or used another name, repeat the search later for those variations.

5Open the matching profile and remove it

Find the record that belongs to you, click View Details, review the information, and select Remove This Record. This is the point where you identify the exact profile to be suppressed.

6Confirm the removal request

Complete any final security check and submit the request. TruePeopleSearch should display a confirmation and send a confirmation message to your email.

How to confirm it worked

Give the request several days, then search TruePeopleSearch again using your name and location. Check the same record and look for its disappearance from public results. If an old Google or Bing result still appears, that does not necessarily mean the source profile is still live.

One removal may not be the end. TruePeopleSearch can receive new information and recreate a profile later. It also has relationships with other people-search properties, so treat the removal as one part of a broader cleanup.

Does removing TruePeopleSearch remove me from other sites too?

No. Removing your TruePeopleSearch record does not automatically remove matching records from other people-search sites, data brokers, public records or search engines. Even sites that share data pipelines can require their own suppression process.

TruePeopleSearch opt-out FAQ

Is TruePeopleSearch removal free?

Yes. The public removal process is free.

Do I need to provide a phone number or ID?

The current standard process uses email verification and a security check rather than requiring a government ID.

How long does removal take?

Allow about three days before checking the site again, although timing can vary.

What if I have several records?

Repeat the process for each record that belongs to you, especially records tied to different locations or name variations.

Can my record return?

Yes. New data can produce a refreshed or newly created profile later.

Does this erase public records?

No. It removes the TruePeopleSearch listing, not the underlying records held by government agencies or other databases.
